Qureator is proud to announce that its pioneering work on age-related macular degeneration (AMD) has been featured as the cover article in Advanced Materials Technologies. The publication highlights Qureator’s integrated 3D outer Blood-Retinal Barrier (oBRB) model, which replicates key features of both dry and wet AMD—such as RPE tight junction damage, drusen formation, and neovascularization—all within a single assay.
This high-throughput screening platform offers a human-relevant alternative to traditional animal models, addressing a major bottleneck in AMD drug development. While the paper reflects earlier milestones, Qureator’s platform has since evolved further, powering active drug discovery collaborations with pharmaceutical partners.
Qureator welcomes new collaborators eager to advance therapies for AMD using next-generation, human-based models.
